Ashwin Kamlani

Executive Vice-President, Hospitality, Kognitiv Corporation

Ashwin Kamlani is the Global Head of Hospitality for Kognitiv.  With a technology background from Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and a Masters from the Cornell School of Hospitality, Ashwin begin his career in hospitality as an unpaid intern with Melia Hotels.  Within five years he became the Global VP of E-Commerce and Distribution, and played a key role in building awareness of the rise of monopolistic business practices that prevented hotel companies from reaching consumers directly.  In 2010 Ashwin launched Regatta Travel Solutions, which offered an online reservations system designed to give hotel websites a competitive advantage to capture customers that were shopping around.  Hotel Associations and Tourism Boards also adopted Regatta’s technology in an attempt to give their hotels a friendly, low cost distribution channel.  In 2016, Regatta Travel Solutions was acquired by Kognitiv.  We could tell you what Kognitiv is doing, but then we’d have to kill you.
